Simon Holmes as The Kumranistan Ambassador

Simon trained at the National Youth Theatre, Warwick University and The Webber Douglas Academy.

He was a founder member of the international touring theatre company Passepartout, and has worked extensively abroad, in India, the Middle East, Scandinavia and all over Continental Europe. Most recently as Gayev in The Cherry Orchard for Kollective Theatre (Best Production, Joakinn Interfest, Serbia).

UK theatre includes: Romeo and Juliet, Ponies, Scotch and water, The Importance of Being Earnest, The Real Inspector Hound, Tess of the D’Urbervilles, Black Comedy, Cahoot’s Macbeth, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

For Hever Castle: Time and Time Again (Graham); Much Ado About Nothing (Dogberry), The Taming of the Shrew (Grumio); Twelfth Night (Toby Belch); The Country Wife (Pinchwife); A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Oberon); Dandy Dick (Blore).

Film work includes: V for Vendetta, the Oscar-nominated Lagaan, Ramji Londonwaley, Exitz, Up on the Roof, Whatever Happended to Harold Smith?, Maladetto il giorno che t’ho incontrato, Elvis Jones, Pickle, Life and Times of a Dog Woman.

Television credits include: The Bill, EastEnders, Minder, Lovejoy, Casualty, Picking Up the Pieces, The Vice, The 10%ers, Bad Blood, Get Well Soon, For Valour, Rough Justice.

Simon is a keen quiz fan and appeared 12 times on 15-1. He is married to the actress Imogen Bain and they live in London with a hairy French Basset Hound called Billy.
